It was a surprise to many fans when Fox revealed they would release a PG-13 Deadpool 2 this Christmas and using Fred Savage as a Princess Bride framing device. Bramley recently brought to light a tweet of his from last year suggesting The Princess Bride framing device idea if Marvel Studios forced a PG-13 Deadpool because of the upcoming Disney-Fox deal:
With Once Upon a Deadpool hitting theaters next month, Bramley went on to tweet about how similar his pitch is to the finished product and shared an article of Ryan Reynolds saying he came up with the idea for the film months after his tweet:
