Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ Gets A Fan Made Poster For Her Solo Movie

One of the most popular heroines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. The actress has portrayed the iconic Marvel character ever since 2010’s Iron Man 2 and has appeared in several subsequent films since then. Naturally, it makes you wonder why the popular character has not had a solo spin-off film of her own, considering characters like Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, and others have. But luckily, a spin-off film is actually in the works now, with director Cate Shortland set to direct the picture. It is not yet known when the film will release, but fans can get excited knowing it is coming soon.

Reddit user Omer Kose has created his own version of a Black Widow solo film poster. The poster, shown below, features Johansson in black and white, with her iconic logo behind her, making for one excellent poster. We can only hope that the folks over at Marvel will be able to create a film that lives up to the hype.

Cate Shortland (Lore) is set to direct the project centered on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular female character from a script written by Jac Schaeffer. Schaeffer is best known for writing Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, and the 2009 sci-fi romance TiMER which she also directed.

Plot details on the standalone film remain under wraps, however, in the comics, Natasha Romanoff was trained by the Winter Soldier himself, Bucky Barnes played by Sebastian Stan in the films.

Avengers 4 will be released in theatres on May 3, 2019, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers 4 will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt.
