‘Fantastic Beasts’ Sequel Has No Plans To Bring Back Colin Farrell

'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them' star Colin Farrell reveals that there are no plans for his character to return in sequels.


Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them transported audiences back to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with a whole new cast of characters. One of those new characters was Percival Graves, played by Colin Farrell, the Director of Magical Security for MACUSA who was later revealed to be Gellert Grindelwald in disguise. With a series of Fantastic Beasts sequels set to be released, fans have wondered if Colin Farrell might return to portray the true version of his character. In an interview with MTV at CinemaCon, Farrell addressed the possibility of reprising his role.

When asked if he would appear Fantastic Beasts sequels, Farrell indicated that there are no plans for his character to return.

“I would love to, but it was always written that that was it.”

Farrell did offer an unsettling theory on the fate of his character.

“Maybe he’s buried in a shallow grave and he’s going to die of starvation 17 hours after the film ends.”
