Production on the ninth Fast and Furious film is already underway, but Guardians of the Galaxy star Michael Rooker has joined the cast of the ensemble film as a last-minute addition. Full details on Michael Rooker’s role are currently under wraps, although the trade reports he will portray a character named Buddy.
After making his first appearance as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy, Michael Rooker reprised the role for Vol. 2, in which his character heroically sacrificed his life to save Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord. In addition to his role in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, Michael Rooker’s credits include AMC’s The Walking Dead, Oliver Stone’s JFK, and Cliffhanger opposite Sylvester Stallone.
