On his official Instagram, Vin Diesel shared this post to his nearly 59 million followers. Here, he officially confirms that the first trailer for Fast & Furious 9 will be released next month, and the official premiere date will be announced on Wednesday December 18.

Fast & Furious 9 will be the ninth entry in the proper Fast & Furious franchise and the tenth overall entry, following the release of the spinoff film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The franchise is one of Universal Pictures’ most successful, and stands out amongst the franchise landscape given that it’s not based on any established IP prior to the first film’s premiere in 2001.
