Official Title For Hobbs & Shaw ‘Fast & Furious’ Spin-Off Revealed

Total Film reveals that the official title of Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham’s upcoming spin-off is Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

 

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will reprise their respective roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw in a Fast & Furious spin-off that director David Leitch has likened to buddy films, including Lethal Weapon or 48 Hrs. The pairing of both characters was one of more well-received aspects of the previous film in the main franchise and now the official title for the spin-off has been revealed as Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

A spinoff of The Fate of the Furious, focusing on Johnson’s US Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs forming an unlikely alliance with Statham’s Deckard Shaw.

Directed by David Leitch from a script written by Chris Morgan, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby, Eddie Marsan, Eiza Gonzalez, and Idris Elba.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw will be released in theaters on August 2, 2019.
