‘The Fast And The Furious’ to Get a Live Show in January 2018

Universal's The Fast And The Furious franchise will be getting a vehicular stunt show which will start its worldwide tour in January 2018.

The Fast & The Furious has become one of Universal’s biggest franchises in the past few years. Now, they’re ready to shift things into a new gear by touring a vehicular stunt show inspired by the movies.

The Hollywood Reporter had the following to say on the tour:

The car-racing movie franchise is revving up to tour the world with a live arena show — and there will be lots of cars, vehicular acrobatics and set designs to accompany the mayhem. Universal is creating the tour with executive producers Chris Hughes and James Cooke-Priest, as well as writer-director Rowland French, who are the Brand Events team behind the Top Gear Live tour.

Aside from the world tour, Universal still intends to introduce a Fast & Furious: Supercharged ride at one of their theme parks in Orlando, Florida in 2018. Said attraction is currently available to attendees of their Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. The only attraction that is truly comparable to the kind of live show that Universal wants to make is the now-defunct Fast & Furious: Extreme Close-Up show, although it was on a much smaller scale than what Universal’s is currently developing.

The Fate Of The Furious will race into theaters on April 14, 2018. Eighth and ninth installments to the series are scheduled for release on April 19, 2019 and April 2, 2021 respectively.
