First Reactions Praise ‘Dunkirk’ As ‘Captivating’ & ‘Thrilling’

The first reactions to Dunkirk have hit the web now that the social media embargo has lifted following the film’s press junket this past weekend.

Based on true events, Dunkirk tells the story of when allied forces were surrounded by the German army during World War II. The narrative itself is divided into three separate points of view, following those in the air, in the sea, and on the beach.

The first reactions praise masterclass director Christopher Nolan for his realization of the events of Dunkirk on the big screen as a captivating and thrilling filmmaking that offers a unique experience for audiences which manages to overcome the triptych narrative that leaves little character to invest in.
