‘Wonder Woman’: First Glimpse At Ares Officially Revealed

Wonder Woman is getting pretty close to finally hitting theaters. The fact that we are just a few weeks away from the first standalone film featuring the most iconic female superhero of all-time is incredibly exciting. Now a new TV spot has been released, fans have been given their first official glimpse at the film’s antagonist, Ares (portrayed by David Thewlis).

In the TV spot that director Patty Jenkins shared on her official Twitter account, you see Ares and Diana (Gal Gadot) clash with each other. You can see the glimpse in the clip at around the 0:11 mark.

Here’s the official synopsis for Wonder Woman:

Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that’s raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.

Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremmer and David Thewlis, Wonder Woman will finally hit theaters on June 2, 2017.
