The Teen Titans will finally headline their own animated film in this adaptation of The Judas Contract; hit the jump to check out the first poster.
A few months ago, it was announced that the creative team behind Batman: The Killing Joke and Batman: Under The Red Hood would develop an adaptation of one of the most iconic comic book arcs in the Titans catalogue: The Judas Contract. There has been some interesting rumours regarding the sudden push of the Teen Titans in recent years, with many (myself included) believing Warner Bros. may be wanting audience to become aware of these characters ahead of a potential feature film. With the big screen introduction of Cyborg and Deathstroke, and the references to Robin in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, who knows?
The first poster for The Judas Contract has been leaked online thanks to The Mother Box over on Twitter. You can check it out below:
Of course, this is a teaser poster, so nothing too flashy. The comic book storyline was adapted in the original animated series, but this interpretation seems to be more inline with that of the books. The storyline is iconic for revealing who Deathstroke actually was, going incredibly in-depth into his past. No word on when the film is set to hit, but one would assume some time in 2017, before the big screen debut of Deathstroke in Justice League.
