First Trailer For Guy Ritchie’s ‘King Arthur’ Debuts At SDCC

The first look at Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword was shown during the Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con today. The brand new footage gave us more character details and a better look at Charlie Hunnam in the leading role as King Arthur. Hunnam is playing Arthur and Jude Law will be playing opposite as Vortigern.

It’s clear from the trailer that Ritchie is putting a unique tone on this classic tale.

You can watch the trailer below.

With Ritchie directing this film, it’s clear that it will be a different take on the traditional “sword in the stone” story. Hunnam opened up about how this version of Arthur would be different from the classic story. Maybe even borrowing from the street smarts that he embodied while filming FX’s Sons of Anarchy.

“He’s a bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor. There’s definitely a harder edge than people would imagine.”

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword stars Charlie Hunnam as the titular knight, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Guinevere, Jude Law as Vortigen, Eric Bana as Uther Pendragon, Djimon Hounsou as Bedivere and more.

What did you think of the trailer? Was it the type of tone and feel that you expected from King Arthur? Comment below!
