'The Flash' showrunner Todd Helbing reveals that Barry Allen will develop a new power at some during the fourth season of the series.
The showrunner confirmed that Barry will be gaining a new ability this season, though he could only offer the following tease:
“You’ll see a new power at some point this season. It’s pretty cool.”
Chances are Barry’s new power will be tied to his enhanced speed, which has already granted him the ability to time travel, phase through solid objects, create duplicates of himself, and launch powerful lightning bolts. Of course, fans of the comics will know that are still a handful of abilities that can stem from Barry’s superhuman speed, but until then the guessing game can commence.
