‘The Flash’ Cast On Which Crossovers They Would Like To See

One of the best parts about The CW’s version of the DC universe is the way they manage to nearly seemlessly weave the characters in and out of all four superhero shows. The annual multi-episode crossovers have become events which fans really look forward to and this year’s crossover is set to be the biggest yet. While it may be a bit too early to talk about that one, it is fun to think about the crossover possibilities. During The Flash panel at Dragon*Con 2017 in Atlanta this weekend, the cast members in attendance were asked which crossovers with The CW’s other DC shows they would like to be a part of in the future.

First, Rick Cosnett, who was a series regular as Eddie Thawne in Season 1 and has made a couple of appearances since, said that he would like Eddie to meet Emily Bett Rickard’s character Felicity Smoak from Arrow:

“Well, I’ve always said Felicity. I think Eddie and her would be a power couple.”

Next, John Wesley Shipp — who played Barry’s father Henry Allen for two seasons, and now plays the real Jay Garrick, The Flash of Earth-3 — revealed that he would like to appear on Legends of Tomorrow:

“I wanna go play with Brandon [Routh] and Victor. I’ve known Victor Garber for, my God, 25, 28 years. I’d love to go over there and play in a different sandbox for an episode or two. That would be fun.”

Finally, Matt Letscher, who plays Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash on both The Flash and Legends, described a more unique interaction that he would really like to see:

“I have a weird answer to this question, and it’s so self-absorbed and appropriate. I want to interact with another version of Eobard. I wanna interact with pre-psychotic Eobard, but this is a whole origin story thing…”

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash. Here’s the official synopsis:

Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell.

The Flash returns for its fourth season on October 10th at 8/9c on The CW.
