New ‘The Flash’ Clips Include Barry & Iris In Couples Therapy

The Flash featured the return of a ‘reborn’ Barry Allen who now has a more positive outlook and renewed energy, but his reintegration into “Team Flash” will not be smooth. Having imprisoned himself to the Speed Force for six months in order to prevent Earth’s destruction, Barry Allen and Iris West will be heading to relationship therapy to deal with their issues concerning Barry’s decision to exile himself without consulting Iris. Now, the CW has released two new clips from the second episode of the fourth season featuring Barry and Iris in couples therapy and Cisco working his magic at the scene of a crime.

The creative team behind The Flash have promised a lighter tone for the series this year and the two clips provide viewers with a taste of the more comedic mood for season four. The first clip opens with Barry and Iris speaking to a therapist, where they list off the names of friends and allies they’ve lost through the years in a surprisingly lighthearted manner. The second clip opens with Barry and Joe West assessing a crime scene before Cisco arrives to weigh in with his technical expertise. You can check out both clips below!

BARRY AND IRIS GO TO COUPLES THERAPY — Barry (Grant Gustin) has his hands full when he takes on a dangerous meta (guest star Dominic Burgess) who can control technology, while also confronting an obstacle in his personal life: the ramifications of abandoning Iris (Candice Patton) for six months to balance the Speed Force. Meanwhile, Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) breaches in for a hot date with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), but she gets annoyed when his work keeps them apart.
