The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that former New Line Cinema executive Michael Disco is launching a new production company called The Disco Factory and has boarded The Flash as a producer. Ezra Miller made his debut as The Flash in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then reprised the role in Justice League.
Daley and Goldstein were hired to direct The Flash following the release of their hit action-comedy Game Night. The two are no strangers to the world of superheroes, as they worked on the script of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The Flash has been plagued with development issues for years now. Before Daley and Goldstein, Rick Famuyiwa was set to direct the project back when it was still an adaptation of the popular Flashpoint story arc. And before Famuyiwa, The Flashhad Seth Grahame-Smith on board as its director.
The latest draft of The Flash was written by King Arthur: Legend of the Sword scribe Joby Harold. Ezra Miller and Kiersey Clemons are committed to star as the titular hero and Iris West, respectively.
