Grant Gustin Says ‘The Flash’s Goal Is To Do Crisis On Infinite Earths

The series premiere of The Flash featured a news article with a headline reading “Flash Missing In Crisis”, hinting that the series would eventually adapt the famous DC Comics event Crisis On Infinite Earths. While the series has yet to bring the comic book story to the small screen, actor Grant Gustin recently confirmed that the eventual plan is to adapt the Crisis storyline during an interview with ComicBook.com.

Grant Gustin stated that while the series plan was to do a version of Crisis on Infinite Earths, fans may have to wait awhile before the show reaches that point:

“We don’t really talk about on a yearly basis but it was mentioned early on and that’s a goal. Obviously we’d have to go I think ten years to reach that. So there’s a possibility for sure. It’ll be fun to get there.”

Crisis on Infinite Earths depicted the destruction of the Multiverse and the creation of a single shared universe. The Flash season 4 will premiere on Tuesday, October 10 at 8:00 PM ET on The CW.
