The Flash star Jesse L. Martin talks about how Joe West's relationship with Central City DA Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet) progresses In Season 4.
In a recent interview with CBR at San Diego Comic Con 2017, Jesse L. Martin, who plays Detective West on the show, briefly addressed how things are going in his character’s love life when Season 4 kicks off, stating:
“It’s going to progress. That’s really all I can say. She’s going to be around, so we’ll see what happens.”
The actor went on to add:
“I love the idea that Joe’s got a girlfriend, so that gets explored. I really, really love that, because I spent so much time just dealing with the kids and the gang over at STAR Labs. Now I have somebody at home to deal with, in a good way.”
Nicolet first appeared as Horton in two Season 1 episodes of The Flash before returning as a love interest for Joe in Season 3.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash. Here’s the official synopsis:
Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell.
The Flash returns for its fourth season on October 10th at 8/9c on The CW.
