The CW has unveiled the synopsis for the February 5 episode of The Flash, titled “Goldfaced,” a potential reference to the DC Comics character Keith Kenyon. Also known as Goldface, Kenyon started off as an enemy of Green Lantern before eventually moving to Central City and becoming a foe of Barry Allen. The character possesses superhuman strength and invulnerability.
The synopsis itself makes no mention of Kenyon, but the episode’s title might be a hint that the villain could soon pop up on the show. You can check out the synopsis below:
BARRY AND IRIS EACH TAKE DANGEROUS STEPS TO STOP CICADA — Barry (Grant Gustin) and Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) must go undercover as criminals in an illegal black market to purchase a device that could help them stop Cicada (Chris Klein). Once inside, Barry and Ralph find their morality tested as they slip deeper into the criminal world, eventually having to choose between committing a crime, or losing the means to defeat one of their greatest foes. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) investigates a lead on Cicada’s whereabouts and ends up in a dangerous situation. Alexandra LaRoche directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#513). Original airdate 2/5/2019.
In the comics, Kenyon was once married to Amunet Black, played by Katee Sackhoff in The Flash season four, so the connection is already there for Goldface to appear on the show. Whether or not that actually happens remains to be seen.
The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison “Sherloque” Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, and Chris Klein as Cicada.
The Flash airs on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. Stay tuned for more updates.
