20th Century Fox is already developing a third Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds, which will also feature the X-Force. Plus an update on Gambit.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the studio is already planning a third Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds, which will also feature the X-Force. Reynolds has talked about making an X-Force movie in the past, so this bit isn’t all that surprising considering that Deadpool 2 will also introduce Cable and Domino, who have both been featured in many X-Force comic books since the 90s.
As previously reported, David Leitch (John Wick) is currently in negotiations to replace Tim Miller, something that it also mentioned in the report. If Leitch’s deal for Deadpool 2 closes, the project will more than likely begin filming next year, meaning that the movie could arrive in theaters in 2018 or 2019.
Another Fox project that’s been having trouble lately is Gambit, which recently lost its director, Doug Liman. The trade reckons that the movie will move back into active development now that Channing Tatum has wrapped on Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky, so expect to hear some Gambit news that in the near future.
