Gal Gadot’s Name Was One Of The Top Mispronounced Words Of 2017

Everyone knows Gal Gadot’s name after the amazing run of Wonder Woman and all the marketing and promotions the actress was a part of in 2017. But would you believe people just can’t say it right?

According to CNN, language-learning app Babbel commissioned the US Captioning Company “to identify prominent words in 2017 that were tough for people on TV to say.” And Gal Gadot made the list.

The service says her name should be pronounced gal gah-dott. They also mentioned that the actress’s last name is sometimes mispronounced with a silent “t.”

The other words on the list that people just couldn’t pronounce this year include bokeh, coulrophobia, dotard, fibromyalgia, Namibia, nuclear, Puerto Rico, Pyongyang, and Weinstein.
