The shoot for the massive fight sequence between the dead and the living lasted 55 nights and Peter Dinklage said in an interview with EW that the epic battle makes the Battle of the Bastards “look like a theme park.” Thanks to a recent Mashable interview with Furdík, fans now know when they can expect the big Season 8 battle. Furdík revealed the big battle will take up the majority of the final season’s third episode:
“In the third episode of the last season, there is a battle that the creators intended to be a historic moment in television. Almost the full episode will be about the battle, it will take about one hour.”
