‘Game Of Thrones’ Episode 8 ‘No One’ Synopsis Teases Lannisters, Arya’s Fate

Usually, Game of Thrones titles and synopses come in twos but as the show enters the home stretch of its sixth season, information is trickling out slower and slower. Today, we got official confirmation of the title of episode 8, the Arya-centric “No One” as well as the customarily-vague description courtesy of HBO (via EW).

“While Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) weighs his options, Cersei (Lena Headey) answers a request. Tyrion’s (Peter Dinklage) plans bear fruit. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a new test. Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Mark Mylod.”

Despite the intense secrecy regarding all aspects of the final three episodes, the titles of episodes 8, 9 and 10 were supposedly leaked last week and were said to be “No One,” “The Battle of the Bastards,” and “The Winds of Winter.” With confirmation of the first, it seems safe to say that the following two are legit as well (shivers down spine at the prospective epic-ness). The ninth episode, featuring the titular battle, is the biggest in the show’s history and the finale, titled after George R.R. Martin’s unpublished sixth book in A Song of Ice and Fire, is supersized to 69 minutes aka the longest episode to date.

Check out our comprehensive recap of the most recent episode “The Broken Man”  and check back shortly after this Sunday’s episode “No One” for a new one from yours truly. In the meantime, you can find out the ways Game of Thrones changed fantasy and TV – at the same time.
