‘Game Of Thrones’ Feels ‘The Winds Of Winter’ With 6 Photos From Season Finale

As soon as it started, Game of Thrones sixth season is coming to an end this Sunday with its supersized finale “The Winds of Winter.” Clocking in as the series’ longest episode at 69 minutes and titled after the unpublished sixth book in George R.R. Martin’s seven-part A Song of Ice and Fire book series, it promises plenty of climax leftover after Sunday’s epic “Battle of the Bastards.” Today, EW released 6 photos giving a sneak peek of the epic drama to come.

In addition to the above photo of Tyrion delivering the great trailer line, “You’re in the great game now, and the great game is terrifying” to, as it turns out, Dany, we get previews of Bran (who we haven’t seen since the amazing fifth episode “The Door“), the long-awaited trials of Loras Tyrell and Cersei Lannister, Davos looking pissed (because he knows Melisandre burned Princess Shireen), Jamie and Bronn leading a Lannister column and the gold-handed knight meeting with Walder Frey.

“The Winds of Winter” airs this Sunday 6/26 at 9 p.m. EST on HBO. Here’s the episode preview. For more Game of Thrones coverage, check out the 5 ways the show changed fantasy and TV as well as 5 predictions for the finale (one has already come true!). And be sure to check back shortly after the episode for our full recap!
