All great things must come to an end at some point, and that includes some of the most groundbreaking television series of all-time. Based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R. R. Martin, the series has introduced millions of fans to the world of Westeros and Essos as well as the many characters that inhabit it.
With the highly-anticipated season 7 consisting of 7 episodes along with the final season consisting of 6, that brings the entire history of Game of Thrones ending at 73 episodes. This has been long-planned by showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss.
The trailer for season 7 may have broken the record for the most amount of views achieved over the course of its first 24 hour period for any television series trailer. At a whopping 61 million views, it goes to show that fans are more than ready to return.
