‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Episodes Will Be Longer After All

Not that long ago, there was a report suggesting that most of the episodes in the second-to-last season of HBO‘s Game of Thrones would be about the usual length. However, a new report suggests that not only will many of the episodes be nearly a whole hour in length, but that the last two will be nearly feature-length in and of themselves.

The respected Game of Thrones fan site Watchers on the Wall has come across data that suggest the running time of the next few episodes are going to be quite significant. The data is as follows:

• Episode 1: 59 minutes.
• Episode 2: 59 minutes.
• Episode 3: 63 minutes.
• Episode 4: 50 minutes.
• Episode 5: 59 minutes.
• Episode 6: 71 minutes.
• Episode 7: 81 minutes.

The shortest episode in this set is 50 minutes long, which is usually on the low-end of what to expect from the previous seasons. In the meantime, three episodes are greater than an hour in length, and the last two set records for the longest Game of Thrones episodes ever, being (respectively) slightly and significantly longer than the Season 6 finale. Furthermore, the other three are only a few seconds shy of being an hour apiece. All things considered, that’s a far cry from the previous statements suggesting that only the premiere and the finale would be longer than usual.
