Former DC Entertainment CEO Shades Geoff Johns: “He’s No Buddy Of Mine”

Diane Nelson, the former CEO of DC Entertainment, recently threw some shade at Geoff Johns on her Twitter page.

After Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuted to negative reviews, Geoff Johns and Warner Bros. executive vice president Jon Berg were installed to co-run the DC Films division at Warner Brothers. Geoff Johns and Jon Berg served as producers on Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but the disappointing box office performance and negative critical reception to the film resulted in Berg being replaced by Walter Hamada as the head of DC Films.

Geoff Johns is reportedly still working with Walter Hamada on future live-action DC projects, but many fans place some blame on him for Zack Snyder’s original vision for Justice League being dramatically altered due to Joss Whedon’s extensive reshoots on the project. One of those fans directed their grievances towards former DC Entertainment CEO Diane Nelson, who wrote an opinion piece defending the “repulsive” violence in the upcoming Warner Bros. film Joker.

After Diane Nelson shared the Joker article on social media, a fan responded by questioning why the former DC Entertainment CEO couldn’t defend Zack Snyder’s tonally dark vision for Justice League. A second fan commented by saying she was probably “too busy helping her buddy Geoff” destroy Snyder’s work, to which Nelson replied, “He’s no buddy of mine.”

Check out former DC Entertainment CEO Diane Nelson’s comment on Geoff Johns below.

Warner Bros. and DC are currently developing several projects for the future. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.

The DCEU continues next year with Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, followed by Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DCEU starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on DC and Geoff Johns as it develops!
