Jackson stated the filming on the sequel, set in the same universe as 2000’s Unbreakable, will begin in September.
“We start rehearsal on [September] 18th and I start shooting on the 25th.”
Plot details are being kept under wraps, though Shyamalan has said that the film would have a higher budget than Split‘s $5 million.
Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Glass stars James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb (The Horde), Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price (Mr. Glass) and Sarah Paulson in an undisclosed role.
Glass is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 18, 2019.
Split is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD, featuring a cast that includes James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Betty Buckley, Brad William Henke, Neal Huff, Jessica Sula, Sebastian Arcelus, Haley Lu Richardson, and Kim Director.
