‘Godzilla 2’ Director Teases New Monster Foes In Call Sheet Photo

With the Godzilla sequel currently in production, fans are eager to see the how the next installment of Legendary’s burgeoning MonsterVerse will lead into the much-anticipated showdown between the titular kaiju and King Kong. However, it appears the King of Monsters will have to win a fight or two before he faces off against the King of Apes as director Mike Dougherty has teased the appearance of several classic Toho monsters in the Godzilla sequel.

Dougherty shared an image of a call sheet where the names of classic movie monsters King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan were listed. You can check out the image in the post below!

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.  When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

The film stars Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Zhang Ziyi, Anthony Ramos, Ken Watanabe, Randy Havens, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, Thomas Middleditch, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins and Charles Dance.

Godzilla 2 will be released in theaters on March 22, 2019.
