The two iconic monsters are ready for battle!
Godzilla kicked off Legendary’s MosterVerse with two films that followed which expanded the universe. The two iconic monsters will now come face-to-face in the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong film. The highly-anticipated crossover event was originally slated for a release in November, but audiences will have to wait since it has now been pushed back to May 2021.
The one major question heading into Godzilla vs. Kong is how big the two monsters will be. Based on the first official look that comes from Playmates Toys figure packaging, shared by Kaiju News Outlet, it looks like Godzilla and King Kong will be around the same size. In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
Directed by Adam Wingard, the film stars stars Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, and Brian Tyree Henry, Demian Bichir, Rebecca Hall, Jessica Henwick, Lance Reddick, and Kyle Chandler.
