Legendary Pictures has now assembled a writers room for the much-anticipated film. Terry Rossio, who is known for his work on Pirates of the Caribbean movies is set to head the writers room which will include Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (Star Trek Beyond), Lindsey Beer (The Kingkiller Chronicles), Cat Vasko (Queen of the Air), T.S. Nowlin (The Maze Runner series & Pacific Rim: Uprising) and J. This new shared cinematic universe between both Godzilla and King Kong is incredibly exciting. Personally, I’m rooting for Kong in this occasion. The fact that this film is happening within the next few years awakens the inner child in me as well as many other moviegoers.
What do you guys think of this news? Do you think a film like Godzilla vs King Kong would need a big writers room? Who do you think will take on the directorial duties of this film? Sound off in the comments below.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ Kong: Skull Island reimagines the origin of the mythic monster in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—as beautiful as it is treacherous—unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.
Kong: Skull Island is now in theaters. Meanwhile, Godzilla 2 will roar its way into theaters on March 22, 2019 leading up to the big brawl between the two legends in Godzilla vs King Kong that takes place on May 29, 2020.
