The fifth and final season of Gotham will introduce the iconic Batman villain named Bane, who is infamous for breaking the Caped Crusader’s back in the comics. Yesterday, Fox released the first images of Shane West in full costume as Bane and most fans are not impressed with the latest depiction of the powerful antagonist. While there are a handful of fans who approve of the outfit, most have taken to Twitter to negatively compare Gotham‘s Bane to other masked characters, such as Darth Vader, and have likened the suit to a poor Halloween costume.

With Gotham on the brink of total anarchy and cut off from the outside world, only Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne and a handful of heroes remain behind to retake the city.
