Gotham is set to conclude the origin story of the eponymous city and its citizens before David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne donned the Batman suit and became their protector. While we have yet to see an official image of David Mazouz’s full Batman costume, the promo for the penultimate episode of the series (which airs next month) may have offered fans a glimpse at the new symbol during a moment when Bruce Wayne witnesses a bat flying past the moon in a shot that closely resembles the Dark Knight’s iconic emblem.

With Gotham on the brink of total anarchy and cut off from the outside world, only Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne and a handful of heroes remain behind to retake the city. Inspired by the “No Man’s Land” arc from the comics, villains including Penguin, the Riddler, the Sirens and Jeremiah have taken claim on various regions of the city. Will order be restored, or will chaos reign in Gotham?
Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/The Riddler, and Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox.
Gotham airs on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. on FOX.
