Is 'Gotham' actor Cameron Monaghan teasing the Joker? Check out these three new pictures and speculate.
Monaghan recently posted a photo on Twitter of a close-up of his face that indicated red scars around his eyes. The tweet has since been mysteriously deleted. In the photo, the area around the eyes looks a little blistered and damaged.
Adding on to that, two other photos revealed further close-ups. One was a close-up of the area around the nose, cheeks, and eyes. The skin was a little wrinkled and peeling. The second picture is a close-up of the area around the mouth, which looks like it has small scars sprinkled around it. Although Jerome has never been called the Joker on the show, nor has the show ever really acknowledged him as such, there’s still no doubt that the character pays some kind of tribute to one of Batman’s most famous villains.
Jerome is currently dead on the show, but that doesn’t mean coming back is off the table. Left to speculate what these pictures mean and why the tweet was quickly deleted (but nothing really gets deleted from the internet, does it?), fans can only be left (im)patiently waiting for more official news.
Gotham airs on Mondays at 8/7c on Fox.
