‘Gotham’: Camren Bicondova Confirms She Won’t Play Older Catwoman In Series Finale

Camren Bicondova confirmed she will not play adult Catwoman in the series finale of Gotham.

Next week’s final episode of Gotham is set to conclude the five-year journey of our favorite heroes and villains, but long-time series regular Camren Bicondova will not be returning for the show’s last hour. In a message to fans posted on her official Twitter account, Camren Bicondova revealed the penultimate episode of Gotham marked her final appearance as Selina Kyle and actress Lili Simmons will take on the role of adult Catwoman in the series finale. After expressing her gratitude for having the chance to portray Catwoman during her teen years, Camren Bicondova explained she felt it was time to pass the torch to a new actress when the series jumps ahead ten years into the future.

Fortunately, Camren Bicondova assured fans Lili Simmons is “perfect for the role” and recounted how they both had lengthy conversations about the character. Camren Bicondova concluded the message by reflecting on what playing Catwoman has meant to her shared advice for fans that she learned while portraying the iconic DC character.

The series flash-forwards 10 years into the future, as Bruce is set to return to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower. A series of crimes leads Gordon to believe Penguin and The Riddler are up to their old tricks. However, when Bullock is framed for a murder, Gordon begins to piece together an even more sinister plot targeting the city, and a new figure emerges from the shadows to be the hero Gotham desperately needs in the all-new “The Beginning… ” series finale episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, April 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
