The penultimate episode of Gotham airs tonight and a new clip shows Lucius Fox giving young Bruce Wayne new tech for his next mission. During their conversation, Lucius asks, “Remember the Nightwing Project?” and Bruce responds by saying, “Portable next-gen stealth tech.” Lucious then reminds Bruce of its capabilities:
“Put it on any aircraft and it’s invisible to radar but unfortunately, it also seems to serve as a beacon to certain animals.”
Of course, the name of the tech is likely a nod to Nightwing, one of the many allies of Batman. In the comics, the first Robin takes on the Nightwing mantle after parting ways with Batman to become a hero in his own right.
