New ‘Gotham’ Series Finale Motion Poster Highlights David Mazouz’s Batman

After nearly five years on the air, FOX’s DC Comics series Gotham is finally coming to an end with its series finale, “The Beginning…” With the series finale ready to air later this week, the official Gotham Twitter profile shared a new motion poster promoting the episode, giving fans another tease at Bruce Wayne actor David Mazouz finally becoming Batman.

You can check out the brand new Gotham motion poster down below, featuring David Mazouz as Batman looking over the skyline of Gotham City. It really has all come down to this, folks:

In the highly-anticipated series finale, we see Gotham City a decade later. It will also show viewers how David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne will finally take the mantle as Batman.

David Mazouz’s Caped Crusaderlooks to be heavily inspired by the Batsuit in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. Meanwhile, Cameron Monaghan’s final Joker form appears to be inspired by his Earth-2 iteration which first appeared in Justice League Of America Annual Vol. 3 # 1 back in 2008.

Although both David Mazouz and Cameron Monaghan will be appearing as Batman and Joker respectively in the future timeline, Camren Bicondova who has played Selina Kyle/Catwoman since the series began back in 2014 will not be reprising her role in the series finale. Instead, she’ll be replaced by Lili Simmons who will portray Selina at an older age for the conclusion of Gotham.

Are you excited to see David Mazouz’s Batman? Do you wish David Mazouz had the opportunity to play the character a little longer? What other comic book roles would you like to see David Mazouz play? Let us know in the comments below!
