Spoilers ahead for “Ace Chemicals”:
“Legends of the Dark Knight” continues to pull from iconic Batman story-lines like Zero Year and No Man’s Land. “Ace Chemicals” featured one of the most famous Batman comic book moments yet. Cameron Monaghan has played Gotham‘s proto-Joker for years in the roles of Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska and the latest episode has led to the final version of the Joker.
“Ace Chemicals” brings Bruce and Jermiah to the familiar Batman location where they fight on a catwalk. Like many other versions, Jermiah falls into the vat of acid, thus creating the Joker. Jermiah’s final form isn’t show in the episode, but he is wrapped in bandages. Bruce is joined by Selena at the hospital next to his bed, where he claims Jermiah will no longer be a threat due to no brain activity. Little does Bruce know, he has created his greatest villain. Leaked images of Jermiah’s final Joker evolution have already been leaked, so he will be turning up again before the series is over.
