‘Gotham Knights’ Theory Suggests Who Killed Commissioner Gordon

Who killed Commissioner in 'Gotham Knights'?

A new theory for the next Batman game, Gotham Knights, suggests who might be behind the death of Commissioner Gordon.

Although it might not have been the biggest Batman news at DC FanDome (that goes to the trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman, fans finally got a look at the new game from Warner Bros. Montreal that the studio has been teasing for quite some time. Gotham Knights puts players in control of the Bat-Family after Bruce Wayne’s death as the city falls into chaos. But a new theory which surfaced on Reddit has an idea about the other major death we saw in the first trailer for the upcoming game.

‘McManus26’ on Reddit spotted a moment from the Gotham Knights trailer which coincided with Batman saying the GCPD can’t be trusted, as Commissioner Gordon’s badge is shown with an owl sitting on top of it. Since we know the trusty Commissioner dies in this universe, it’s implied that the Court of Owls has had him killed, possibly so they can install one of their own to lead the police. The Gotham Knights trailer briefly showed the iconic Court of Owls masks as well as the undead assassins the nefarious organization use, the Talons. Take a look at the theory below.

What do you think about the Gotham Knights theory? Who do you think killed Commissioner Gordon? Are you excited to see the Court of Owls in the game arriving next year? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here is the synopsis for Gotham Knights:

Batman is dead. It is now up to the Batman Family – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin – to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos.
