‘Gotham’: Shane West Shares Tease Of His Costume As Bane

The fifth and final season of FOX’s DC Comics series Gotham is shaping up to be an exciting one. For one, the season will finally debut Batman in some form but we will also see actor Shane West bring Bane to life.

As we speak, the final season of Gotham is being put together. With that, Shane West shared an interesting image on Twitter that at first glance, seems like nothing more than just a picture of his boxed meal with a message on it. However, the picture also contains a potential tease at his new costume as Bane.

You can check out the tweet down below:

As you can see, there is a glove on the very right of this image. This may be a glove that Bane will don when he brings his terror upon Gotham.

Before Shane West, Bane was famously brought to the big screen in two different films: Batman and Robin and The Dark Knight Rises. In those two cases, Bane was portrayed by Robert “Jeep” Swenson and Tom Hardy respectively. Interestingly enough, both iterations of Bane appeared in the final chapter of their respective series of Batman films – not too dissimilar to Bane making his debut in the final season of Gotham.

Are you excited for the fifth season? Share your thoughts below!

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, and Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma.

With Gotham on the brink of total anarchy and cut off from the outside world, only Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne and a handful of heroes remain behind to retake the city. Inspired by the “No Man’s Land” arc from the comics, villains including Penguin, the Riddler, the Sirens and Jeremiah have taken claim on various regions of the city. Will order be restored, or will chaos reign in Gotham?

Gotham season 5 will premiere on FOX in 2019.
