The Flash Star Grant Gustin Speaks Out On Arrow’s Cancellation

The Flash star Grant Gustin speaks out on fellow Arrowverse show Arrow being canceled in a heartfelt post in which the actor shares his love for Stephen Amell.

Earlier this week, Arrow star Stephen Amell broke the sad news that the series would end after a shortened ten-episode eighth season later this year. The news shocked fans as the Arrowverse shows are still going strong, even getting recognized as some of the best shows of 2018. Nevertheless, rumors of cancellation or even the death of several important characters during the next Arrowverse crossover, Crisis On Infinite Earths, were starting to grow more and more.

Without a doubt, one of the most important actors in The CW’s DC TV shows is Grant Gustin. His Barry Allen has been around for some years now, and it seems that losing Arrow hit him pretty hard. This morning, he posted on Instagram expressing his sadness the show’s cancellation, and appreciating all of the work around the Arrowverse and, especially, what Stephen Amell has done with Arrow:

Rumors of cancellation have only surrounded Arrow and Supergirl, leaving The Flash safe for the time being. It seems that Crisis On Infinite Earth will feature Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen and some of the most important heroes of the Arrowverse one last time and it’s possible that a new line-up of DC superheroes could take their place. Since the Arrowverse will lose Stephen Amell soon, it’s unlikely Grant Gustin will also follow.

What do you think will happen to Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen after Arrow‘s done? Sound off in the comment section down below.

In the meantime, check out the synopsis for the next The Flash episode Failure is an Orphan:

THE META-CURE IS READY TO USE ON CICADA. With the meta-human cure ready to use, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash must figure out a way to subdue Cicada (Chris Klein) long enough to take it. Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) steps in to help with the plan. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) eases back into work, and Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) isn’t happy about the way her dad plans to stop Cicada. Viet Nguyen directed the episode written by Zack Stentz.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison “Sherloque” Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, and Chris Klein as Cicada.

Failure is an Orphan will premiere on Tuesday, March 12 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
