‘The Flash’: Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen Gets Comic-Accurate Blonde Hair In New Image

Impressive new fan art gives The Flash star Grant Gustin the blonde hair that Barry Allen sports in the original comics.

Grant Gustin first debuted his Barry Allen on Arrow before getting his own solo series The Flash in 2014. The series is currently in its fifth season and still going strong, with Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen having to battle a new villain named Cicada (Chris Klein). The Flash has adapted quite a few things from the comic books very accurately except for one thing, Barry Allen’s blonde hair.

Barry Allen is notably blonde in the comics but Grant Gustin hasn’t dyed his hair for the series just yet. The show has updated the character’s Flash suit quite recently but the hair has remained the same. Talented artist SPDRMNKYXXIII recently took to Instagram to show off a new piece of fan art that depicts Grant Gustin with Barry Allen’s original blonde hairdo. Check out the awesome image in the post below.

The Flash is still going strong with no official end in sight but the same can’t be said for Arrow. The inaugural Arrowverse series starring Stephen Amell will be ending after the eighth season. Although the series will be able to use a final 10-episode season to tie up the series, one iconic character won’t be making her return.

Earlier today, Emily Bett Rickards announced that she will be leaving the series after season seven. Emily Bett Rickards plays the character Felicity Smoak on Arrow, a character who has played a particularly important role in the current season of the show.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding The Flash as soon as more information becomes available. Do you think Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen should finally go blonde on The Flash? The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison “Sherloque” Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, and Chris Klein as Cicada.
