In this artwork coming courtesy of a digital artist known as “dc.marvel.edits_” on Instagram, Grant Gustin’s The Flash gets an upgraded version of his season six suit, incorporating the aesthetic of the Blue Lantern Corps.

The Blue Lantern Corps was created by Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver and Ivan Reis. In the comics, The Flash becomes a member of the Blue Lantern Corps and wears a blue superhero outfit. Grant Gustin’s The Flash has already worn many different types of suits in The CW’s Arrowverse, but none quite like the Blue Lantern one.
In the classic DC Comics story arc Blackest Night, Ganthet activates the Saint Walker’s ring to deputize Barry Allen/The Flash to become part of the Blue Lantern Corps. Under the tutelage of Saint Walker, The Flash rescued Bart Allen from transforming into a Black Lantern.
Grant Gustin is set to appear in The CW’s adaptation of Crisis On Infinite Earths, spanning two quarters and consisting of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover will launch with three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January.

Marcus Stokes directed the episode written by Lauren Certo & Sterling Gates (#604).
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, and Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man.
