Grant Gustin’s The Flash is set to introduce a new speedster by the name of Godspeed. The Flash has faced many great villains that have brought dramatic moments to the hit show starring Grant Gustin. The first season had Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen face his mentor and arch-enemy, Reverse Flash, the same person who showed him the ropes when he first obtained his powers. The second season had the hero face a new speedster, Zoom, who murdered a member of his family, leading Barry Allen to create the Flashpoint timeline for the beginning of the third season.

The Flash has had its share of dramatic moments and it is possible that it may soon have another one following the introduction of Godspeed. This new theory from Reddit user rishukingler11 explains how Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen could be connected to Godspeed due to the Flashpoint timeline. In the comics, Godspeed was a detective who gained similar powers to the Flash and began a murder spree stealing other speedster’s abilities. It may sound similar to what Zoom was attempting to do in the second season of The Flash, but Godspeed is much more different. If this new theory proves to be true, it will make for a dramatic moment caused by one of the show’s biggest episodes, “Flashpoint.”

After Eobard Thawne mentioned that Barry Allen had twins, it would make for an interesting and dramatic moment if Godspeed would be the son he killed due to the creation of the Flashpoint timeline. Having Godspeed be presented as The Flash’s son could lead to some dark storylines once again. For now, Godspeed is expected to make his debut in the next episode of the show. Grant Gustin is not yet done with The Flash and with many great villains left to visit the screen like Godspeed there is no doubt the show may continue on for more seasons.
