The CW passed on the Arrow spin-off!
The CW is moving into a new era with their DC properties as several changes are taking place over at the network. It all began with Arrow back in 2012, which launched several spin-off shows and an entire DC universe on the small screen. Since then, Arrow has ended after eight seasons with shows like Supergirl also coming to an end after its forthcoming season. The CW is still adding new shows like Superman & Lois and Painkiller among them. Another series that was on The CW’s radar was Green Arrow and the Canaries.
A backdoor pilot for Green Arrow and the Canaries was a part of Arrow‘s final season and starred Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, and Juliana Harkavy as Dinah Drake. However, The CW revealed on Friday that they will not be moving forward with the Arrow spin-off series.
