Concept Art Reveals Unused Design For Hector Hammond In Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Green Lantern’

Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz revealed an unused design for Hector Hammond in Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern.

Ryan Reynolds’ featured the classic DC Comics villain Hector Hammond, with actor Peter Sarsgaard in the antagonistic role. This incarnation of Hector Hammond still had the enlarged head that granted him telepathic and telekinetic powers, which resulted from an infection he incurred while conducting an autopsy on the deceased Abin Sur, but the character’s design for the Ryan Reynolds film was notably different from his comic counterpart.

Now, Green Lantern concept artist Jerad S. Marantz has taken to Instagram to share a concept illustration for Hector Hammond, revealing a design for the character that more closely resembles the source material. As Marantz notes, this particular illustration for the Ryan Reynolds film was created in Photoshop.
