Groot Reveals His Top 5 Favorite Movies Of All-Time

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' fan-favorite Groot has quite an interesting taste in cinema. Here are his top 5 favorite movies according to James Gunn.

As it turns out, Groot has a fascinating taste in cinema. The star of Marvel’s newest blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 enjoys himself the art of motion pictures, and thanks to the film’s director James Gunn, we now know what are Groot’s five favorite movies.

Gunn gave Rotten Tomatoes the big scoop on what are the five films Groot enjoys the most. Interestingly enough, Groot enjoys a wide array of genres based on the selections and “extensive” reviews he wrote for all five of these films.

Here are Groot’s favorite movies of all-time:

  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977)
  • Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow (1994)
  • Million Dollar Arm (2014)
  • The Hottie and the Nottie (2008)
  • The Godfather Part II (1974)

I gotta say, Groot’s adoration for the cinematic masterpiece The Hottie and the Nottie is so incredible. This romantic comedy starring Paris Hilton was a beautiful exploration on how true beauty lies within.

It’s also nice to hear that Groot loves The Godfather Part II. Francis Ford Coppola’s follow-up to what is commonly regarded as one of the greatest films of all-time arguably exceeds its predecessor.

For those who want to read Groot’s in-depth analysis on these five films, you can read each of them here. Groot should consider becoming a film critic and perhaps start a movie review series with Rocket a la Siskel & Ebert.

Meanwhile, you can see Groot in his newest film, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is now playing in theaters everywhere.
