‘Guardians 2’: Chris Pratt On How Infinity Stone Impacted Star-Lord

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' star Chris Pratt on how the Infinity Stone may have impacted Star-Lord in the next film.

Chris Pratt is back in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and some of the events from the first film will be spilling over into its sequel.

It turns out, touching the Infinity Stone isn’t without consequences, which the actor confirmed we’ll see when the film comes out in a few months.

“It plays a certain role. His interaction with the Infinity Stone in the first movie becomes – there’s a thread there that gets pulled in the second movie, like you get to know a little bit more. But yeah, that wasn’t an unimportant aspect of who he is.”

Star-Lord was the first character to ever have been able to successfully grab hold of the stone, so it would make sense that there are repercussions to him doing so.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5, 2017.

What kind of effect will the stone have? Could it possibly turn Star-Lord into something he’s not? Let us know in the comments below!
