Page 1-‘Guardians 2’: New Image Gives Another Look At Kurt Russell’s…

Last week, a Hasbro action figure depicting Kurt Russell as Ego the Living Planet, was unveiled at the New York Toy Fair. Now a new image has emerged, giving us another look at Russell, who will be making his debut as the aforementioned character in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Despite Ego being, well, a planet, the character will also be appearing in human form. Below, you can get more of a sense of what Russell will look like as the character. A black cape is secured loosely around his neck and falls to his back. Russell stands looking to the right, both hands holding the sides of his belt, one looking like a gun belt draped down the side. Armored cuffs adorn his wrists and the top he wears looks to be a metallic color.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Kurt Russell, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.

The film is in theaters May 5, 2017.
