New ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Deleted Scene Released

Ahead of its upcoming release on Digital and Blu-ray, Marvel has released a new deleted scene from Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2. The cut scene, in which the special effects remain unfinished, showcases an additional stop on Ego’s (Kurt Russell) tour of his home world that makes a few members of the Guardians uncomfortable. Speaking to Yahoo! Movies about the scene, director James Gunn had the following to say:

“[Peter Quill] sort of looks like this big muscular Frank Frazetta heroic character, and Groot looks kind of like a piece of broccoli, and they somehow confused Drax and Rocket so Drax is a tiny little thing standing on his arm, and Gamora is a very buxom character holding on and looking up lovingly at Peter Quill, holding onto his leg. So they’re not as thrilled with it as Quill is.”
