The ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Ravagers Got A Special Comic Con Gift

Who’d have thought the Ravagers would be one of the highlights of Marvel’s Comic Con presentation? The actors playing the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 space outlaws showed up in their costumes to banter with the cast, crew, and audience. It was a pretty memorable moment, and it turns out Marvel Studios agrees. One of Marvel’s conceptual artists, Jackson Sze, created a special illustration for the Ravagers to thank them for their “performance” on behalf of the studio.

James Gunn, director of Vol. 2, shared the gift on Facebook, writing: “This was the framed gift Marvel Studios gave to each of the Ravagers as a gift for helping us out by appearing at San Diego Comic-Con. Thanks, guys!”

From left to right: Steve Agee as Gef, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, Mike Escamilla as Scrote, Jimmy Urine as Half-Nut, Stephen Blackehart as Brahl, Terence Rosemore as Narblik, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Joe Fria as Oblo, Evan Jones as Wretch, and of course, Michael Rooker as Yondu. The image also shows two Ravagers who didn’t make the panel.

It’s a nice gift…but let’s be honest. The Ravagers would have probably preferred cash.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to release on May 5, 2017.
